The East Coast of Greenland is not as densely inhabited as the West, and is thus more of an "off the beaten track" destination than the west. East Greenlandic is the local language, and contains a number of variations from the West Greenlandic "official" language of Greenland.
In Eastern Greenland
Ammassalikk, or Tasiilaq, is in the centre of the east coast of Greenland. It is a village with a harbour surrounded by high mountains.
