North Holland is a province in the West of the Netherlands. It is bordered by South Holland on the south, Utrecht on the southeast, Flevoland in the east and Friesland in the northeast. It is the most visited province and includes Amsterdam, the capital of the country, as well as traditional and historic Dutch villages.
The Gooi en Vechtstreek is the region around Hilversum in North Holland. While pretty much unknown to foreigners, Het Gooi is easily the most well-known region of the Netherlands among the Dutch population.
Texel is an island in the West Frisian Islands region of the Netherlands. Texel is an island with four types of landscape: dunes and beaches in the west, flatland and polders in the east and hilly in the center of the island.
