Northern Greenland

The Far North of Greenland is sparsely inhabited and exceptionally cold. Even getting here is an achievement, and getting around is an exercise in planning, as the tourist infrastructure found in other parts of Greenland simply is not present here.
Upernavik is home to the largest bird cliff, Apparsuit, and very unique wildlife.
Qaanaaq, formerly known as Thule, in northern Greenland is one of the world's northernmost civilian settlements, topped only by the Norwegian town of Longyearbyen and a few military bases.
