Parque Nacional Corcovado is on the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. While the park is one of the more remote in the national park system, Corcovado provides excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.

Drake Bay is a city in Osa Peninsula region of Costa Rica. Plane: Fly in to the Drake Bay Airport with Nature Air or Sansa from San Jose.

Puerto Jimenez is in Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula and is the primary jumping off point for Corcovado National Park.


Matapalo is a village in South Costa Rica. It is in between Puerto Jimenez and Carate, Osa Peninsula.

Los Patos is a ranger station at the northern part of Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica.

Carate is a small town in Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula near Corcovado National Park. By collectivo from Puerto Jimenez in the dry season, it takes 2-1/2hrs or more depending on stops etc.
Choose the road less travelled. And remember that the best places to visit are not in the guide.
