Southern Streymoy is in the Faroe Islands. Tórshavn Other than Southern Streymoy, the regions listed above are separate islands. Nolsoy is reached by ferry from Torshavn and Hestur from Gamlarætt, near Kirkjubøur. Koltur can only be accessed by helicopter.

Tórshavn is the capital of the Faroe Islands. The city was founded in the 10th century and named after Thor, the god of thunder and lightning in Norse mythology.
Nolsoy is both an island reached by passenger ferry from Torshavn in the Faroe Islands and the name of the village on the island.
Kirkjubøur is a village in Southern Streymoy. Bus from Torshvn Car on singed road going west from the southern part of the ring road.
Hoyvik is a village in Southern Streymoy, Faroe Islands Head towards Vagar and Eysturoy and you pass through it on leaving Torshavn.
