West Ireland

West Ireland is a region of Ireland. Both English and Irish are widely spoken in the West. As with the rest of Ireland, most Irish speakers are found in smaller and more isolated villages, while the cities are dominantly English speaking.
Galway, or Gaillimh in Irish, with a population of over 70,000, is Ireland's fifth largest city and a major hub for visits to West Ireland.
County Mayo, on the west coast of Ireland and the third largest county in Ireland, is often overlooked by tourists.
Inis Mór is the largest and most populous of the Aran Islands in County Galway, West Ireland.
County Roscommon is in West Ireland. It was the homeland of The Connachta dynasty, and included such kingdoms as Uí Maine, Delbhna Nuadat, Síol Muirdeach, and Moylurg.
Boyle is a town in County Roscommon. Boyle is located at the foot of the Curlew Mountains near Lough Key in the north of the county.
County Galway is on the West coast of Ireland, in the province of Connacht.
Westport is a heritage town in County Mayo in the Republic of Ireland.
