Cordillera Blanca is a region of Peru's Northern Sierra. The name Cordillera Blanca in and of itself sounds imposing. Known to be one of the biggest mountain ranges in the world, the majority of its peaks measure around 6000 m.a.s.l.

Caraz is a pretty little town in Peru. Until now its one of the few places, that has not been destroyed by earthquakes.
Chavín de Huántar is an archaeological site from the pre-Incan Chavin culture of around 900BC containing ruins and other artefacts.
